John Rzeznik (born John Joseph Theodore Rzeznik on December 5, 1965 in Buffalo, New York and also known as Johnny Rzeznik) is a songwriter and the vocalist/guitarist of rock band the Goo Goo Dolls. The last name "Rzeznik" (which, spelled 'Rzeźnik' and pronounced Res-nik, means 'butcher' in Polish) although not many people know that he came from a Serbian background. He has four older sisters (Phyllis, Fran, Glad and Kate), and often jokingly complains it's "...one of the worst things that can happen to a man."
