Raghib Ramadian "Rocket" Ismail (born November 18, 1969 in Elizabeth, New Jersey) is a former professional American football player, who played wide receiver at the University of Notre Dame and in both the Canadian Football League and National Football League.

Nicknamed "The Rocket", Ismail stands 5' 11" tall and had strong hands and blazing speed on a football field, making him exceptionally dangerous both as a kick returner and as a receiver. Ismail recorded two 1,000-yard receiving seasons in the NFL and was a CFL All-Star in 1991, as well as the most valuable player of the 79th Grey Cup.
In 2004, CollegeFootballNews.com named Ismail as the #75 player on their list of the Top 100 Greatest College Football Players of All-Time.
He has most recently been coaching in the extreme sports league Slamball.
Career
College
Ismail grew up in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and attended Elmer L. Meyers High School. Ismail first came to prominence as a receiver for the University of Notre Dame. Boasting such premier college players as Ismail, Chris Zorich, Tony Rice, Todd Lyght, Andy Heck, and an assortment of others, Notre Dame won the College Football National Championship in 1988, placed second in 1989 winning the Orange Bowl against the University of Colorado, and again went to the Orange Bowl in 1990 but lost in a close 10-9 game to the University of Colorado. That year, Ismail finished second in the voting for the Heisman Trophy as the top college football player, losing out to Brigham Young University quarterback Ty Detmer.
Ismail was known as a tremendous game breaker who could turn a game around with his unmatched hustle. During the 1989 regular season game against the University of Michigan, Ismail returned two kickoffs for touchdowns sealing the Wolverines' downfall. He was featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated twice, and received numerous awards, including All-American status. In the 1991 Orange Bowl, he returned a punt return 91 yards for a touchdown that would have sealed the game for Notre Dame and stopped Colorado from winning a split of the National Championship, however the play was later called back on a clipping call and Notre Dame eventually lost 10-9.
A certain first round draft pick in the 1991 NFL Draft, Ismail decided at the last minute to announce he would sign a record contract with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League starting during their 1991 season. As a result, Ismail was chosen by the Los Angeles Raiders 100th overall in the 1991 NFL Draft.
Canadian Football League
Rocket Ismail joined the Toronto Argonauts by signing the richest contract in football history.Ismail was the property of the Raiders in the NFL, but the CFL had no rules requiring teams to respect the NFL draft. It would have been difficult to offer Ismail enough money to lure him into coming north, but the CFL had just the owner to try it: Bruce McNall, who, with hockey legend Wayne Gretzky and actor John Candy, had recently purchased the Toronto Argonauts. The Argonauts made Ismail an offer unheard of for a CFL player: $18.2 million spread over four years. The average value of Ismail's full contract, $4.55 million per season, dwarfed the anticipated 2006 CFL season salary cap of $3.8 million per team. The CFL had a salary cap in place since 1991, but the rules contained an exemption for a "marquee player" who would not count against the cap. Doug Flutie of the British Columbia Lions was about to be paid a million dollars under the exemption, but Ismail's contract dwarfed anything North American football had ever seen, as Ismail's yearly salary was, at that time, the largest in Canadian or American football history.
Ismail moved north to the Argonauts in time for the 1991 CFL season, and in his first game as a professional football player, returned a kick 73 yards on a reverse with Michael "Pinball" Clemons in front of the rabid crowd at Toronto's SkyDome. Ismail concluded his rookie season in style at the 79th Grey Cup. Ismail scored an 87-yard touchdown on a kickoff return and was named the Grey Cup Most Valuable Player as his Argonauts defeated the Calgary Stampeders 36-21 to take the game's crown. Ismail came within fifty yards of breaking teammate Clemons's franchise record for single-season kickoff yardage, and made the 1991 CFL All-Star team as a wide receiver, while finishing runner-up to B.C. Lion Jon Volpe for rookie of the year.
The 1992 CFL season was a dimmer one for Ismail. Although he broke Clemons's franchise record for single-season kick return yards (a record that still stands), he was unhappy in Canada as the Argonauts slumped to a 6-12 record, missing the playoffs. Ismail was also remembered for his participation in a sideline brawl versus the Calgary Stampeders where he stomped on an opposing player's helmeted face. Ismail later issued an apology for this on an appearance of Speaker's Corner. With the huge contract forming an albatross around Toronto's neck and McNall increasingly facing financial trouble, Ismail left the CFL, and, after the season, signed with the NFL team that drafted him: the Los Angeles Raiders.
National Football League
In his first year as a Raider, Ismail was removed from the media circus that had surrounded him as an Argonaut. Just an ordinary receiver on a fairly good team that finished 10-6, Ismail caught for a respectable 353 yards in 1993. The next year, Ismail hauled in 513 yards and five touchdowns, and when the Raiders moved to Oakland for 1995, Ismail went with them. However, his 491-yard season was a slight disappointment.
After 1995, Ismail was traded to the Carolina Panthers for a fifth-round draft selection. The 1996 incarnation of the Panthers under Dom Capers was a strong team, finishing 12-4, but Ismail was only a minor part of it, as he recorded a career-worst 214 yards without a single touchdown to his name. 1997 was a slight improvement, as he recorded 419 receiving yards and added a pair of touchdowns.
In 1998, however, Ismail finally came into his own. In contrast to 1996, when Carolina was good but Ismail was awful, the 1998 Panthers were an abominable 4-12, but Ismail was strong, receiving 69 passes for 1,024 yards - two yards short of doubling his previous career high. Ismail added eight touchdowns and finally made his name as a good, if not great, NFL wide receiver who was capable of an occasional spectacular play.
Ismail signed with the Dallas Cowboys as a free agent for 1999 and wore number 81. On a team that included future CFLers Jason Tucker and Chris Brazzell at receiver, Ismail was the leader. He caught for a career-high 1,097 yards from Troy Aikman and scored six touchdowns, including a 76-yard walk-off touchdown pass from Aikman to give the Cowboys a 41-35 win over the Washington Redskins. At only 30 years old, however, Ismail had hit his peak.
In 2000, injuries caused by a collision with then Cowboy's linebacker Dat Nguyen during training camp limited Ismail to eight games, and he recorded an ineffective 350 yards receiving. 2001 marked Ismail's last year of professional football, and though his 834 yards was best on a poor team that rotated Quincy Carter, Ryan Leaf, Clint Stoerner and Anthony Wright through quarterback to try and replace Aikman, Ismail was done. The Cowboys, caught in salary cap limbo, released Ismail, and he did not sign anywhere for 2002. His NFL career ended in 2002 when Ismail was cut and thus he 'retired' at only 33 years of age.
On December 27, 2006, while being interviewed on Sirius NFL Radio Rocket for "Helmets Off: Where Are They Now?" Rocket had informed fans that he is prepared to make a comeback for a team in need of a kickoff specialist and is said to be involved in "extreme workouts."
Ismail is a contestant on Ty Murray's Celebrity Bull Riding Challenge on CMT.
In February 2008, Ismail appears as a Pro in the third season of Spike TV's Pros Vs Joes.

Ismail is the older brother of former Syracuse University and NFL wide receiver Qadry Ismail, nicknamed the "Missile" and former University of Texas-El Paso and New York Dragons receiver Sulaiman Ismail.
Because of the nicknames for him and his brother (Rocket and Missle) His mother, Fatma, is known as "The Launch Pad"

Introduction
Here are some character traits from Raghib ISMAIL's birth chart. This description is far from being comprehensive but it can shed light on his/her personality, which is still interesting for professional astrologers or astrology lovers.

In brief, a natal chart is composed of ten planets: two luminaries, the Sun and the Moon, three fast-moving or individual planets, Mercury, Venus and Mars, two slow-moving planets, Jupiter and Saturn, and three very slow-moving planets, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. Additional secondary elements are: Lunar Nodes, the Dark Moon or Lilith, Chiron and other asteroids such as Vesta, Pallas, Ceres or Juno. There are also special features such as Arabic Parts, Vertex, the Black Sun, hypothetical planets, etc. They are all positioned on the Zodiac wheel consisting of twelve signs, from Aries to Pisces, and divided into twelve astrological houses.
The first step is to evaluate the importance of each planet. This is what we call identifying the dominant planets. This process obeys rules that depend on the astrologer's sensitivity and experience but it also has precise and steady bases: thus, we can take into account the parameters of a planet's activity (the number of active aspects a planet forms, the importance of each aspect according to its nature and its exactness), angularity parameters; (proximity to the four angles, Ascendant, Midheaven, Descendant and Imum Coeli or Nadir, all of them being evaluated numerically, according to the kind of angle and the planet-angle distance) and quality parameters; (rulership, exaltation, exile and fall). Finally, other criteria such as the rulership of the Ascendant and the Midheaven etc. are important.
These different criteria allow a planet to be highlighted and lead to useful conclusions when interpreting the chart.
The overall chart analysis begins with the observation of three sorts of planetary distributions in the chart: Eastern or Western hemisphere, Northern or Southern hemisphere, and quadrants (North-eastern, North-western, South-eastern and South-western). These three distributions give a general tone in terms of introversion and extraversion, of willpower and sociability and of behavioural predispositions.
Then, there are three additional distributions: elements (called triplicity since there are 3 groups of signs for each one) - Fire, Air, Earth and Water - corresponding to a character typology, modality (or quadruplicity with 4 groups of signs for each one) - Cardinal, Fixed and Mutable - and polarity (Yin and Yang).
There are three types of dominants: dominant planets, dominant signs and dominant houses. The novice thinks astrology means only "to be Aries" or sometimes, for example, "to be Aries Ascendant Virgo". It is actually far more complex. Although the Sun and the Ascendant alone may reveal a large part of the character- approximately between 30 and 60% according to the chart, a person is neither "just the Sun" (called the sign) nor just "the first house" (the Ascendant). Thus, a particular planet's influence may be significantly increased; a particular sign or house may contain a group of planets that will bring nuances and sometimes weaken the role of the Ascendant, of the Sun sign etc.
Lastly, there are two other criteria: accentuations (angular, succedent and cadent) which are a classification of astrological houses and types of decanates that are occupied (each sign is divided into three decanates of 10° each). They provide additional information in this first general part.
These eleven (or six, if the birth time is unknown) general character traits must not be taken literally; they are, somehow, preparing for the chart reading. They allow to understand the second part of the analysis, which is more detailed and precise. It focuses on every area of the personality and provides a synthesis of all the above-mentioned parameters according to sound hierarchical rules.
