The Sun in Aquarius and Feeling Different
Although she has been quieter for several years, everyone remembers the precocious debut of Christina Ricci. Indeed, she was the very weird and gloomy girl of The Addams Family, the film directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, released in 1991. This saga remained so popular that she was identified with this role for quite some time.
Fortunately, she managed to show that she was able do something else, which she should give us a new proof of on the occasion of the release of Matrix 4, the 4th installment of the film series, scheduled to take place on 22 December 2021.
There is nothing abnormal in all this, since the Sun sign, Aquarius, has a reputation for a perfectly assumed eccentricity. People under this influence may be engrossed in their thoughts and cultivate so much open-mindedness that they forget conventions and proprieties. Secretly, they are sometimes glad to avoid them, or in some other cases, they feel that provocation is pleasant.
the Sun is the only planet in Aquarius. Therefore, Ricci is far from being an extreme example of this sign, as we shall see further down. However, we notice here a tight square between Uranus and the Sun, which increases this state of things. Such a configuration prompts Ricci to give of her best when there are no constraints, and when she can freely play her own role, otherwise there would be a predisposition to rebel.
Nevertheless, since the Sun forms a nice aspect with Neptune, we observe that this position draws public empathy and that neither inspiration nor popularity are lacking.
Physically speaking, it seems that Ricci has taken a few typical traits from Aquarius; she has an almost child-like face, some sort of mischievous elf, with wide eyes looking astonished. Her appearance is also emphasized by Virgo, very active in the sky map, ruled by Mercury, the eternal adolescent.
The Sign of Virgo and Its Contrasts to Aquarius
In this prominent sign of Virgo, two planets are in an angle, i.e. Jupiter and Mars, discussed further down, as well as Saturn and the Ascendant.
It is most likely that in her daily personality, the comedian feels close to the symbols of this sign, which are totally different from the symbols of Aquarius. Indeed, a typical Virgo is a perfectionist, somehow anxious to do things properly, respectful of codes, and appreciating that everything is straight, clean, and tidy. So to speak, the opposite of Aquarius, a freedom-lover who hates constraints and obligations.
On this subject, it is quite interesting to underline that in many interviews, Ricci had to explain the gap, caused by the celebrity experienced so young, between her public image and her quite serious and discreet nature. The impression is that, as an actress, she always showed great professionalism and did not make trouble, for she hates to attract attention.
The Relationship Axis Affected by an Exact Opposition
Ricci has a tremendous asset to achieve success, because Jupiter rising in the chart enables her to entirely make for the lack of self-confidence that a person having the Sun in Virgo would have undergone without this support.
In addition, the planet is in conjunction with Mars, also in the 1st House, only slightly more distant from the angle. Nonetheless, the two planets are in opposition with Mercury on the Descendant, in Pisces. With such a relationship axis, there is a risk that when she interacts with people, Ricci experiences tough conflicts. She must probably contain her impatience and create a character for herself. She can also get carried away owing to the hyper-active Jupiter-Mars duet, and bring about several misunderstandings.
On the other hand, we may consider that there is a mutual reception between Jupiter and Mercury, since Jupiter is in Virgo, ruled by Mercury, and the latter is in the sign Jupiter historically ruled before Neptune was discovered. For this reason, both planets can get along much better than when planets having no connection with one another are forming an ordinary opposition.
Furthermore, we remark that this opposition has an ideal exit door – or solution to its challenge – with the presence of the Moon in Capricorn in the 5th, in trine with the duet of action, Mars and Jupiter, and in sextile with Mercury. As a result, emotions are kept under total control, and the interlocutors of the comedian rapidly perceive the serious facet of Ricci's character.
Infatuation Versus the Coldness of Capricorn
We cannot overlook the importance of the Earth element in this natal chart, because Virgo is prevailing but also because the Moon is posited in Capricorn.
As we have just seen, the Moon forms numerous aspects, a sextile with Mercury, a trine with Mars, Jupiter and the Ascendant, and a square with Venus.
Under the influence of Saturn, the Moon suggests self-control, perhaps sometimes a certain coldness, but in all cases, reassuring calm.
On the other hand, natal Venus, posited in Aries, expresses herself in a different style. In wide trine with Uranus and in sextile with the Midheaven, she endows with iconoclastic skills of attraction.
However, because she is in tense aspect with the Moon and Saturn, she may herald obstacles or delays in the affective life. In this regard, Ricci is among the women who revealed that they suffered marital abuse during the lockdown, which ended up in a recent divorce.
Besides, the square Uranus sends to the Sun gives a propensity to often come across unsuitable companions whose originality charmed her.
Quite Promising Upcoming Transits
Luckily, the weather seems to be set fair again, or at least to improve for Ricci, since she is living with her hairdresser and she is expecting her second child with him.
Added to the release of Matrix 4 by the end of December, this should help her see her future under favourable auspices.
Jupiter, whose dominant role has been analysed, transits the natal Sun again during the last quarter of 2021, during his retrogradation. In the meantime, Saturn is moving ahead in Aquarius throughout 2022, forcing Ricci to take on responsibilities and to make a few difficult choices.
Then in 2022 also, Jupiter entering Pisces in the House related with association heralds several possible rewards in this area and from the affective viewpoint.
