Analysis of David Cameron's astrological chart

Daily news regularly puts the spotlight on all sorts of famous people. Although we are not fond of juicy information, we inevitably have an idea about a given political figure, a movie star, a Royal Highness, or a skilled sportsman.

Those well-known faces draw our interest and seem familiar to us, because we watch their successes or their setbacks day by day.

Astrology may also be considered as an interesting filter to better define their personality, and to guess whether the events they experience are confirmed by their planets' activities. Astrology does not reveal everything, of course, but using the dominants and other peculiarities of the natal chart, we can see whether the astrological portrait matches the collective image or offers unsuspected additional nuances.

After Javier Bardem and Bill Gates, here is an article about the very civilised David Cameron.

Focus Astro celebrity: David Cameron

Surprisingly enough, David Cameron, a very civilised, diplomatic, and thoughtful man, has run the risk of submitting the Brexit issue to the British people, i.e. asking whether the United Kingdom should leave or should remain in the European Union. We know the answer given on 24 June and its ensuing world earthquake. However, Cameron believed that he had taken the best decision, respecting the democracy and pulling the rug from under the feet of his rivals. Twice a Libra, he had continuously sought the approval of people rather than to polarise them. Beyond political analyses, let us see if his horoscope explains how Cameron got to this point.

He was born in a very well-off family. His father was a stockbroker, and his mother was a magistrate. Very early in life, he seems to have enjoyed the natural abilities Libra is often credited with. Provided that the environment is favourable, such a person has everything required to blossom in upper middle-class circles. The doors of the best schools are wide open. Classmates of the same social level, rites of passage, education system, all this probably suited Cameron very well; his past might indicate that he would aim at the most classic aims of life.

Venus, ruler of Libra, is very strong in his chart, being in her own sign, in the 1st House, and conjunct the Ascendant axis. As a result, Cameron's deep ego does not disavow the ideal image of a child of good birth. Besides, the nice traits of his rather chubby face, his refined smile, and his perfectly tailored clothes corroborate the first impression that he needs the approbation of the masses in order to feel that he fully exists.

Nevertheless, despite his charming powers and his accommodating spirit, he has also proved to be autonomous and full of energy whenever he launched personal projects. This is actually less typical of Libra. Why? Because almost all the planets are in the Eastern hemisphere of the chart, which depicts a contrasted personality. Furthermore, the only planet in the Western hemisphere is no one else but Saturn! Therefore, one may easily deduce from this peculiarity that Cameron can be very stubborn when he wants to impose his views.

Born in the middle of the sixties, He belongs to a generation marked by an uncompromising Uranus-Pluto conjunction in Virgo, opposite Saturn. In Cameron's chart, Uranus and Pluto are in the 12th House, that of ordeals and hidden enemies, while Saturn is in the 6th House, that of work. Therefore, it is in his daily life and his job that he is most likely to show his toughest facets.

Incidentally, let us observe the irony of the astrological message, since most of his contenders are precisely members of the Labour Party! But perhaps he has many more? He who used to dream of an organised world, – the great inheritance of the Thatcher years during which Britain grew stronger on many accounts, compared to the situation in the seventies when Cameron was young – Cameron must have been disillusioned some day. As he entered the political arena, he certainly realised that he would have to wage fierce fights. We can suppose that this unavoidable step remains painful, and that he has to undergo many tensions. Fortunately, he enjoys a high level of popularity with his people. Just a few days before the referendum on the Brexit, London Weekly published an opinion poll concluding, once more, that the Prime Minister is the politician the British prefer. For the sixth successive time.

According to experts, sluggish economy and Cameron's cheerful looks may be at the root of his lasting favour. However, the astrologer believes that, in addition to a twice highlighted Libra, additional features concur with this trend. Thus, Leo is influential, with its nice Moon-Jupiter conjunction. It is tempting to infer that advantages are granted through the exercise of power. Moreover, Jupiter is nicely linked to Saturn, which is an excellent sign of successful social integration. They are posited in the Houses related to these areas, the 10th House (social and professional achievement), and the 6th House (daily work, relationships with peers and underlings).

On a different topic, we also know that Cameron is a far relative of the Queen, for his ancestors belong to the nobility. He also married a woman of aristocratic origin, which matches very well the Moon in Leo.

Mars completes Cameron's Leo trilogy. It endows him with flamboyant energy, enabling him to step up when he thinks that the battle is a matter of honour. In this portrait, we must not overlook Mercury in Scorpio, who describes a man passionately sticking to his convictions and never giving up his ideas. Cameron may even behave against his craving to be loved by the masses, since his Mercury is challenged by the Moon-Jupiter conjunction we mentioned above.

On 24 June 2016, the verdict of the ballot box finally prompted him to take note of his failure and to announce his resignation. Owing to the fact that his Venus personality must earn the approval of the people to assert himself, this planet transiting the 10th House and in exact square with its natal position might have driven him to slam the door.

It is interesting also to look at transiting Jupiter, who is starting to conjunct Uranus and Pluto and forms a double opposition with Saturn, of whom we spoke earlier. Jupiter has activated several sensitive spots and will enlarge their consequences in the near future.

Isolated in his own camp, disowned by a democratic event, Cameron ends up leaving to his successor the burden to negotiate the exit with the EU. He is most likely to be remembered as THE culprit in this divorce. Which is paradoxically very Libra after all.
