Virgo, Scorpio and Saturnian Values
Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex according to his full title, was born with the Sun in Virgo, with the Ascendant in Capricorn and a strong sign of Scorpio, contrary to what one may think at first glance given his cheerful side. He fits perfectly in the British royal family. Indeed, many of its members are predominantly influenced by Earth or Water signs (Queen Elisabeth II is a Taurus with the Ascendant in Capricorn, Charles is a Scorpio, William, a Cancer, and Kate Middleton, a Capricorn).
Like his elder brother though to a lesser extent, Harry's chart displays a specificity, the strength of Sagittarius, which he seems to have inherited from his mother, the late Princess Diana.
Therefore, here stands in front of us a newly-wed who used to be a shy boy who was hard hit by the family tragedy. Intellectual Virgo tends to interiorise the feelings that she dissects and sifts through the crucible of reason.
The Saturn-moon Opposition and Its Horrendous Consequences
Saturn, the chart ruler (ruler of the Ascendant), near culmination in the 9th House, also contributes to depict a melancholic person who probably suffered from having had to grow too rapidly without his mother's love. It is almost a case study in this chart, given the opposition of this prominent planet to the Moon in Taurus in an angle in the 4th House (home, roots).
Astrologically speaking – and without elaborating on the countless stories still published about the childhood of Harry and his brother – it is most likely that Harry was very attached to his late mother, Lady Diana Spencer, Princess of Wales. She used to comfort and nurture him, in both the proper and the figurative senses of the term. He was meant to enjoy life, to test all his five senses as it is the case with the Moon in exaltation in Taurus.
However, we notice that Saturn had the last word, as too often, and imposed his lead blanket. Let us not forget that most of the time, oppositions indicate alternating values or behaviours related to the planets involved and not a struggle resulting in nearly constant tensions like with squares for instance.
To add a few words regarding this major configuration linking Saturn and the Moon, given Harry's real life, we observe that it prompts him to explore the dialectic of possession-loss, since the signs involved – the areas of expression – are Taurus, as already stated, and Scorpio. In this regard, his Scorpio father probably helped him to get structured although it was through an iron discipline that had nothing to do with what Diana advocated.
Scorpio's Rebellious Facet and Mars-sun's Impulse
Torn between two tendencies, Harry then experienced rebellious phases matching the influence of Scorpio, maybe of the Mars-Sun square, the latter being in the 8th House. The 8th sign may illustrate the entrenched position of "I don't wear my heart on my sleeve" imposed by his status or his social position (the 10th House in Scorpio).
The Mars-Sun aspect expresses its non-conformism in a totally different way, letting off steam, shocking, in some way transcending the shyness of Virgo, the Sun sign. Thus, Harry made headlines with alcohol-fuelled evenings or when he was caught wearing a less than appropriate attire at a costume party in 2005. After photos were taken, he apologised humbly. In 2012, he was immortalised in his birthday suit in Las Vegas, once again when the party degenerated. All things considered, no real harm was done.
Then self-awareness (the introspection he is capable of thanks to his dominants) spurred him to join the military. He is seen abroad, far from home, fighting for his homeland. This is very Sagittarius, an energy stemming from his Mars sandwiched between Uranus and Neptune. The latter is challenged by the slow-moving planets posited in Virgo, and we note that Harry strives to control his old demons as best as he can, even if it means being astonishing.
A Nicely Aspected Venus Sharply Contrasting with a Worried Moon
In the love area, Prince Harry's features are far easier to deal with for him. Beautiful Venus in domicile sextile Mars turns him into a person both tender and passionate who seeks the dream partner.
He is in favour of marriage and thinks that household chores should be shared among spouses. This planet gives Harry a strong sense of beauty and a behaviour marked by Venusian influences when it comes to romance, because the Moon in Taurus, already discussed above, is also ruled by Venus. Although the anguish which clouded his childhood will also affect his love life now and then, in general, he is well-off.
Nevertheless, it is tempting to imagine that owing to the Moon, he is prone to break-ups – actually, it seems that his partners took the initiative for fear of his status, like for instance Cressida Bonas or Chelsy Davy.
Auspicious Jupiterian Transits
This year, it is undeniable that Harry is experiencing a major turning point, and it may be interesting to spot it clearly in his transits. Firstly, Jupiter transiting Scorpio. Since the Midheaven is at 17° of this sign, Jupiter has transited it last winter, after the engagement was announced.
The planet then went over the MC and has been retrograding since 9 March 2018. It transited this point again with quite surgical precision on the wedding day, i.e. on 19 May. Again a case study that astrologers interested in transits may analyse in detail. One might really wonder if the royal family had not been advised on the date...
Anyway, Jupiter clearly underlines the scope of the event and the optimism suddenly blowing on Harry's social status. With the wedding, his horizon is enlarged, may be in connection with foreign countries. Actually, the Queen has recently appointed him Commonwealth Youth Ambassador.

Saturn and the Maturity
Next, what should be mentioned is the role of Saturn, still in the 12th House, who will transit the Ascendant by the end of this year and in early 2019. Harry will feel the weight of maturity and will display the natural seriousness inherent to his rank. At times, he may also feel that his personal actions are slowed down or hampered. However, he will have the support of Jupiter transiting his planets in Sagittarius next winter.
