Analysis of Novak Djokovic's astrological chart

World tennis entered the Djokovic era several years ago. The Serbian, who accumulates titles and honours, is typically a self-made man. We may add that he is one of the survivors of a dark period, since he underwent the bombings of the war in former Yugoslavia in the '90s. When he was a child, people would praise his talent for mimicry, his humour, but also his seriousness and his precocity. He is a Gemini with the Ascendant in Capricorn, influenced by Fire and Scorpio values.

We could even talk about hastiness in certain areas. However, because Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury, this aspect is not negative. It only increases his strong cerebral nature. It must not be forgotten that in the beginning, he was considered rather as a "bad boy" in the highly civilised world of tennis. This general feeling may come from the association of the Ascendant in Capricorn and the Plutonian dominant. Pluto is indeed powerful, posited in the 9th House, but conjunct the Midheaven. His influence is active on anything concerning both the career (the Midheaven) and foreign matters (the 9th House). This is where Djokovic expresses Pluto's intensity to the fullest, never admitting defeat, and ready for extreme experiences anywhere around the world. Saturn, ruler of the Ascendant in Sagittarius, unveils an additional clue to a destiny full of long travels.

We must mention that, put together, the Capricorn and Scorpio tendencies are related to the discipline and the capacity of resilience Djokovic has always demonstrated. War made him stronger, he uses to say, which is very Scorpio. Moreover, gluten-free diet and healthy lifestyle are, according to him, the main principles on which he has been building the mastery of his sport since 2010.

Nowadays, whereas he always imposes on himself a very fast pace, Nole (his nickname) seems more relaxed in other aspects of his life. He tried to please the audience with his humour. It is probably the result of a lovely Venus in Taurus, although opposed to Pluto. A passionate sportsman, he must nevertheless be wary of his sanguine facet, increased by the Moon in Aries.

The astrologer finds it interesting to observe that he shares a few traits with his two main challengers, Federer and Nadal. In their charts, the three of them have important features in Gemini or in Scorpio, as well as in Capricorn for the Spaniard, just like Djokovic. Although tennis is a game, whoever willing to enter the History of this sport would need to be endowed with tremendous perseverance and fighting spirit.

In Djokovic's case, it is useful to watch attentively the arrival of Pluto – and his retrogradations – who is getting closer to the natal Ascendant. Before, the pressure of the Grand Cross formed in 2012 was felt on the natal Moon.
