In the forthcoming presidential elections, a candidate seems unavoidable. Whether we like Donald Trump or not, it is impossible to miss his staggering declarations. One day, he goes after immigration: "Mexico does not send us its best nationals." Some other day, he violently takes it up to women who dare to say they disagree with him, for instance a Fox News journalist or the model Heidi Klum.

At this point in time, on 24 August 2015, although it is difficult to predict his political future, it is indispensable to describe his astrological portrait, and try to be less radical that him, while he is still in contention.

We are dealing with a Sun in Gemini who has the Ascendant in Leo. Except in case of adverse aspects, the blend of these two signs results in an extroverted personality which thrives in public roles.

With a fat pay, of course. To sum up, how not to recognise the Gemini and Leo traits in his projects, which are both commercial and linked to exaggerate communication practices?

After these observations, let's take a close look at his major planets, among which Mars' quite preponderant role must be noted. He is technically in the 12th House, but conjunct the Ascendant axis. This ebullient Mars depicts a power-hungry man, hyperactive, full of virility and proud of it. Donald Trump is always willing to enter the fray, almost disappointed when he has no contender, and seizes every opportunity to make cutting remarks in all directions. With such a Mars, he hits uninhibitedly, seeking neither subtlety nor diplomacy.

The planet of action, which is nicely linked to the luminaries, endows Trump with a constitution fit for fighting, blending courage with a quite unusual vital instinct. Nevertheless, this Mars in the 12th House, square (tense aspect) the Midheaven, indicates aggressiveness harming him in his social and professional circles. He is clumsy and ends up turning everyone against him. But nothing stops him... As for the Sun, who plays an important part, his conjunction to Uranus and his opposition to the Moon are anything but insignificant. These aspects are even among the central configurations of the chart. They explain why this eccentric billionaire dares to say such radical and outrageous things about foreigners and illegal immigrants (Moon-Sagittarius tough aspect).

With the highlight on the South-East hemisphere, meaning the 10th, 11th, and 12th Houses, it seems that his main favourite fields of action are clearly in the social and professional area. The career, honours, the role for a community, associations, politics: they take all his time, for he is not a detail-oriented man.

Another fact deserves the astrologer's attention. The extremely wealthy Donald Trump has a rather complex 2nd House, which is related especially to the money earned. Located in Virgo, it may surprise with its careful and pragmatic facets. However, the presence of Jupiter and of Neptune in Libra changes the situation, since they are the most prolific planets of the zodiac. Money literally flows freely, particularly since Jupiter is well aspected. At the most we interpret it as a lack of caution with the square of this planet to Saturn.

To finish up with an exciting touch for the astrologer, we notice that the stern ruler of Capricorn is conjunct Venus in Cancer: Trump is very conservative when it comes to his tastes. No wonder he is considered to be the personification of misogyny...
