Weekly Mundane Astrological Climate - Week of October 5 to 11, 2026

Introduction

You can view global aspects for any day and time using the Transits application, in simple chart mode after deselecting angular aspects in the form. Positions and aspects are calculated throughout the entire week, from Monday at 12:00 AM UT to Sunday at 11:59 PM UT.

The orb for major planetary aspects is set at three degrees. For the true North Node and Lilith, true positions are used. Minor aspects are excluded from interpretation due to their limited influence.

Planetary aspects shape the global context, influencing politics, economics, and social trends. Lunar aspects are not included in the weekly selection because their brevity makes them too fleeting to be analyzed systematically.

The same applies to the North Node, Lilith, and Chiron, whose influence through aspects remains insufficiently demonstrated.

This is not a personal horoscope. This analysis falls under mundane astrology and highlights planetary influence on a collective scale.

The week of October 5 to 11, 2026 combines openness with resistance. The Sun in Libra forms a sextile with Jupiter, encouraging confidence, expansion, and ambitious initiatives, but its opposition to Saturn quickly reminds us that there are limits, deadlines, and responsibilities that optimism alone cannot make disappear. The contrast is quite telling: the desire to move forward is real, yet it will have to reckon with what still requires time or greater solidity.

Exchanges take a much more electric turn. Mercury in Scorpio joins Venus, but above all it sits at the apex of a strong T-square with Mars in Leo and Pluto in Aquarius. The configuration concentrates tensions around words, negotiations, power struggles, and strategies, while retrograde Venus, close by, brings alliances, values, and interests into the picture. The Moon in Leo adds further intensity to this configuration on Monday morning. On the other hand, Mars also receives trines from Saturn and Neptune, along with a sextile from Uranus: all this energy is therefore not bound to end in confrontation.

The Mars-Pluto opposition is far less conciliatory and can escalate a disagreement into a genuine power struggle. Two more discreet shifts also deserve attention: True Lilith enters Capricorn on Tuesday, then turns retrograde on Saturday evening, while the North Node begins its retrograde motion on Wednesday morning. Each in its own way invites a reassessment of certain relationships with authority, rules, or long-term directions. In the background, the three harmonious aspects linking Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto continue their slow work of transformation.

Short-Term Planetary Positions and Aspects

Planetary Positions, Short-Lived Influences

  • The Sun, from 11°46' to 18°41' Libra, moves through this sign with that very Libran concern for reconciling different points of view, keeping dialogue open, and seeking some form of fairness. But balance is not always the same thing as peace and quiet. As the week unfolds, certain oppositions become more visible and put superficial compromises under greater strain: sometimes a choice has to be made, even when no solution satisfies everyone.
  • Mercury, from 5°48' to 13°41' Scorpio, moves a little deeper into a sign that has little taste for staying on the surface of things. Exchanges may become more direct, more probing too, with particular attention paid to hidden motives, what is left unsaid, or information that some would rather keep discreet. Excellent for investigating and understanding what is really going on; less so for pretending not to have noticed anything.
  • Venus, from 8°26'Я to 7°00'Я Scorpio, continues its retrograde motion in an emotional climate that remains intense. Values, alliances, but also questions of money or loyalty may be reconsidered with less indulgence than usual. What seemed settled may not be so secure after all. Some ties deepen, others reveal their limits, and old issues have an annoying habit of coming back to knock on the door.
  • The Moon, from 0°39' Leo to 4°35' Scorpio, moves successively through Leo, Virgo, Libra, and then Scorpio. Leo opens the week on a more expressive and determined note. Virgo, from Wednesday morning, brings attention back to details, practical matters, and whatever needs putting in order. Libra takes over on Friday morning with more diplomacy and a stronger search for agreement, before the Moon enters Scorpio on Sunday afternoon, noticeably deepening the atmosphere and making reactions more instinctive.

Planetary Aspects of the Week, Short-Term Climate

  • The Sun (Libra) sextile Jupiter (Leo) brings a more confident and generous note. Initiatives are more likely to receive a favorable response, and the desire to move forward takes over again. The only caution is not to promise more than can actually be delivered.
  • The Sun (Libra) opposite Saturn (Aries) quickly reminds us that not everything is possible. Constraints, responsibilities, or certain obstacles may force ambitions to be scaled back or better structured. What resists may deserve to be strengthened rather than pushed.
  • Mercury (Scorpio) conjunct Venus (Scorpio) brings ideas, feelings, and words closer together. Exchanges gain depth and persuasive power, with little taste for trivialities. The aim is to understand, but also to strike the right note.
  • Mercury (Scorpio) square Mars (Leo) can easily heat up discussions. Convictions are strong, responses quick, sometimes too quick. This liveliness can move a debate forward, provided every disagreement does not turn into a duel.
  • Mercury (Scorpio) square Pluto (Aquarius) pushes toward digging deeper, investigating, and uncovering what lies behind appearances. But ideas can also become obsessive, and words may be used as weapons. Lucidity is valuable; relentless insistence, much less so.
  • Venus (Scorpio) square Mars (Leo) adds fire to relationships, desires, and sometimes rivalries. Attraction can be strong, but so can sensitivities. Remaining indifferent becomes difficult, which is not necessarily a bad thing.
  • Mars (Leo) trine Saturn (Aries) gives action more staying power. Energy is better channeled, effort becomes steadier, and demanding projects gain in effectiveness. Here, endurance matters more than brilliance.
  • Mars (Leo) sextile Uranus (Gemini), by contrast, encourages quick, inventive, and sometimes daring initiatives. A change of method can unlock a situation almost immediately. Improvisation can be useful when it remains under control.
  • Mars (Leo) trine Neptune (Aries) links action with intuition, imagination, or an ideal. A conviction can become a powerful driving force, especially in creative or humanitarian projects. One foot still needs to remain on the ground.
  • Mars (Leo) opposite Pluto (Aquarius) finally concentrates a much harsher kind of energy. Power struggles can intensify when no one is willing to give way. Properly directed, however, this force can help tackle problems that have been postponed for a long time.

Long-Term Planetary Positions and Aspects

These planetary positions and aspects move more slowly and reflect underlying developments that extend well beyond this single week.

Planetary Positions, Medium-Term Climate

  • Mars, from 4°00' to 7°58' Leo, continues its progress through a sign that likes to act openly, take the initiative, and show what it can do. The energy remains generous, creative, and strong-willed, with real power to carry others along. It becomes more delicate when pride enters the picture: giving ground or admitting mistakes can then seem much more difficult.
  • Jupiter, from 20°18' to 21°28' Leo, maintains a climate of confidence, ambition, and expansion. Projects that call for boldness, visibility, or a certain generosity are favored. Enthusiasm is valuable, as long as it does not make us lose all sense of proportion: with Jupiter in Leo, thinking big comes quite naturally.
  • True Lilith, from 23°40' Sagittarius to 12°17'Я Capricorn, enters Capricorn on Tuesday, then turns retrograde on Saturday evening. The tone becomes somewhat tougher: questions of rules, authority, responsibility, or power take on greater weight. Its retrograde motion invites a more inward reassessment of these themes, especially when an old constraint or a poorly accepted hierarchical relationship resurfaces.

Planetary Positions, Long-Term Climate

  • Saturn, from 11°16'Я to 10°43'Я Aries, continues its retrograde motion and keeps testing the solidity of decisions, responsibilities, and projects already under way. In Aries, it slows impulses that are too quick and forces better preparation for whatever one wants to undertake. What holds up despite the obstacles has a good chance of lasting.
  • Uranus, from 5°27'Я to 5°18'Я Gemini, remains retrograde in the realm of exchanges, networks, information, and technology. Some innovations still require adjustments, sometimes unexpected ones, before finding their proper place. Revisiting an idea or changing a method is not the same thing as a lasting setback here.
  • Neptune, from 2°45'Я to 2°34'Я Aries, also continues its retrograde motion and invites a review of the deeper motivations behind action. Intuition remains strong, but it can easily mix with desire or impatience. The period therefore calls for some discernment between genuine inspiration and simple enthusiasm.
  • Pluto, from 3°06'Я to 3°04'Я Aquarius, appears almost motionless, but its deeper work continues through networks, organizations, and systems of power. Transformations are not very spectacular in the short term, yet underlying tensions keep revealing what can no longer function exactly as before.
  • Chiron, from 29°19'Я to 29°00'Я Aries, continues to move backward through the final degrees of the sign. Questions of autonomy, confidence, and self-assertion may return in a familiar form. Rather than forcing the way through, it may be more useful to understand what still triggers hesitation or excessive reactions.
  • The True North Node, from 29°05' Aquarius to 28°42'Я Aquarius, turns retrograde on Wednesday morning. Themes linked to networks, shared projects, innovation, and long-term directions thus enter a phase of reassessment. Some trajectories may need to be corrected or clarified before movement can resume with greater coherence.

Long-Term Planetary Aspects and Trends

  • Uranus (Gemini) sextile Neptune (Aries) connects inventiveness, inspiration, and the renewal of thought patterns within a flexible yet active dynamic. It encourages the emergence of creative solutions, experimentation with avant-garde approaches, and their gradual application to exchanges, communication channels, or large-scale forms of coordination.
  • Uranus (Gemini) trine Pluto (Aquarius) adds a deeper dimension to the transformations underway. This aspect combines the inventive momentum of Uranus in Gemini with the far-reaching changes driven by Pluto retrograde in Aquarius, especially in networks, technologies, information systems, organizations, and social models. It may favor powerful yet relatively fluid developments, in which breaks with established ways of thinking become part of a more lasting reshaping of existing balances.
  • Neptune (Aries) sextile Pluto (Aquarius) helps redefine shared reference points by fostering a deliberate evolution of ideals, social models, and organizational frameworks. With Neptune retrograde in Aries and Pluto retrograde in Aquarius, this aspect works more deeply, inviting a reassessment of visions, beliefs, collective projects, and forms of power that support the developments underway. It facilitates the integration of innovative paradigms, strengthens the ability to initiate meaningful change rather than merely undergo it, and gives broader scope to ideological or institutional realignments.

Conclusion

By the end of this week of October 5 to 11, 2026, the dominant impression is one of considerable energy, but energy that benefits from being channeled. Jupiter encourages a broader outlook, Saturn asks for proof, and Mars this time has several supports that can turn momentum into concrete action. Not everything will happen quickly, not everything will be simple, but there are real possibilities for moving forward without charging ahead blindly.

The sensitive point remains how disagreements are handled. The T-square formed by Mercury, Mars, and Pluto, with retrograde Venus closely associated with it, gives words, desires, and power struggles unusual weight. An idea can be defended vigorously without trying to crush the opposing view; that will be one of the week's exercises. At best, this intensity can bring out issues that had been avoided for too long.

The retrograde shifts of the North Node and then Lilith finally add a note of reassessment rather than headlong movement. Certain directions, rules, or ambitions may need a second look before being pursued further. Meanwhile, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto continue to operate on a very different timescale. The landscape changes slowly, sometimes almost imperceptibly; yet the week's events may already show where resistance is building and where evolution is becoming possible.
