Simon Charles Pendered MacCorkindale (12 February 1952 – 14 October 2010) was an English actor, director and producer. After a career in theatre, in the late 1970s and early 1980s, MacCorkindale starred in a variety of films and serials, including Quatermass (1979), Death on the Nile (1978), The Riddle of the Sands (1979), The Sword and the Sorcerer (1982) and Jaws 3-D (1983). Through the rest of 80s and early 1990s, he starred in several television shows, among them the short-lived series Manimal as the lead character Dr. Jonathan Chase in 1983, as well as longer-running roles in Falcon Crest and Counterstrike.
